I know how to create new links. Maybe I didn't explain right.
Tab 1: search
Tab 1: Tap link and just lost search
Tab 2: no search criteria to get the now gone 2nd link on the 1st tab
search results.
With a search bar
Search Bar: type in search
Tab 1: search results
Tab 1: Tap link and get the page
Search Bar: Search criteria still in bar, tap
Tab 2: search results, tap second link
Now I can switch between tabs to compare sites
