Look at apple.com site and look for the mini page, there should be a
User Guide in PDF that you can download and read on your PC/Mac. You can
also download it into iBooks on your iPad. The site will also have lots
of good info.
I keep a copy of the Guide on the iPad but depending on screen size and
your personal preference, reading on a computer maybe easier. Also
easier to read on the computer as you try the steps on the iPad.
One time I even went to the time and expense to printout the 150+ page
guide. Reading the whole thing got things in my mind much better. The
iOS changes after were minor and easier to pickup.

Do an internet search over the next week or so and you might find some
good free guides from places like Macworld or CNET.
