In most hotels, the outlets are built to take most plugs and with the multi-voltage, you should be able to plug in anywhere. I was in Hong Kong a few weeks ago and they have a huge 3-prong plug but the outlet will also take US plug as well as many other kinds so you should be ok.
My experience with hotels is, if their outlet is only for their kind of plug, simply ask Housekeeping for an adapter. They should have them.
