Re: [iPad] Re: New to ipad

I agree with Nicole but it would be helpful to start a new Subject line when a new subject is started, rather than let it dissolve into something else that is totally unrelated. I enjoy the OT stuff too; it's what makes this a social hub rather than just a technical discussion.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I find some of the off topic posts to be entertaining and still feel that there is enough on topic posts to be relevant.

All of the other Yahoo groups of a technical nature I subscribe to have professionally minded owners/moderators who discourage (& enforce) lengthy, way off topic hijacking of threads.  They do, however provide a "discussion" sub-group for members to ramble on with other subscribers to their heart's content about subjects initiated on the group.  Greatly reduces the superfluous BS to be waded thru.

This group has descended into the abyss of total uselessness -  ie: numerous rants about personal health issues, the same questions asked & answered dozens of times (doesn't anyone do a search anymore before banging away on their keyboard? - Oh wait, they can't, since the subject lines quickly lose all semblance of what the post is actually about).

\With that in mind, I think I'll accept the kind invitation of the "Emperor" and depart.......

Actually, there is such a need.

The list OWNER had repeatedly stated that such discussions are perfectly welcome on his forum (and I suspect he may be about to repeat that admonition).

So the only way to avoid them are not to be on the forum.

Sorry about that.
