Re: [iPad] Multitasking and closing apps

you arent deleting it you are removing it from a paused state with an odd delete graphical metaphor.

its paused using next to zero power and battery. it pauses the app, puts everything in a saved state except apps you want running like pandora, they all pause as in do not run use no battery. appple would have it no other way which is why it too 4 versions of the OS to get here.

a jailbreak is the only way i know how to disaable multitasking.

I have several questions regarding multitasking.

Is the only way to close an app in the multitasking tray is to delete it? I thought I read to close an app was to hit the home button but it is still in the multitasking tray.
If you power down with the sleep wake button and the slider off, the apps remain in the multitasking bar.
If items remain in the multitasking bar even though the ipad is powered off, are the apps still using battery power?
Is it possible to disable multitasking?
