at least Microsoft Progs
in osx can pick up worms from word docs from pcs - I have never
noticed it cause any damage
to a mac except that any word doc saved can pick up the worm and can
then pass it on.
Clam AV can spot them if I remember it is mainly a case of cleaning
all the doc files
with it and removing a weirdly named word template doc. I dont
think the worms do much
damage to a mac but by passing it on many pcs will refuse the
document because of anti virus
software. Ive fixed a number of these situations in offices and
recommend running Clam AV every
month or so for the hell of it - its free.
I wouldnt recommend anyone running continual antvirus sware on a mac
as it can cause more trouble -
just keep your eyes open and beware
