Re: [iPad] Verizon?

The answer depends on wither you currently have an iPad or you are going to buy a wifi only iPad.
if you already have a iPad you will have to buy the MiFi as a separate item and sign up for a two year contract with a data plan that I think is different than if you  buy the MiFi with the iPad as a bundle from verizon.

When you buy the bundle the 1gb is $20 per mo the 2nd gb is another $20. However I the think for $35 you get 3gb.  The plan is month to month but there are hooks about the month to month plan.

Suggest you go to verizon website to get the latest scoop.

The MiFi is not internal.  I only bought the iPad with wireless capability, not 3G.  So I use the Verizon MiFi to connect wirelessly.  The 3G would always be AT&T but any wireless will work.

I don't get it. When I bought my iPad and set it up I was not offered Verizon but only AT&T.

I definitely use the Verizon Mifi with my iPad and it works flawlessly.  I use it going down the road when my DH is driving, or anywhere that doesn't have free Wifi.  Of course if it's free, I use theirs.  LOL

I haven't tried this yet, but in theory a Verizon MiFi unit should work and provide a cell ---> wifi connection for an iPad.   It would be a solution for someone where Verizon coverage is better than AT&T.

For some where over $100 you can get an iPad with 3G which means you can surf, etc without WiFi.  HOWEVER this only works with AT&T networks & there is a monthly fee.
