[iPad] Re: What's with the camera kit?

I recently ran into the situation that my iogear card reader was too powerful for the cck USB hub attachment. My SD portion of the cck worked perfectly fine.

I did some investigating and found that the acceptable power range is much, much lower with iOS 4. So, what you need is a power source or self powered hub that will allow you to transfer from a card reader. Or, you can use your camera and it's USB cord. This is the way that is outlined on the Apple website.

So, yesterday I downloaded 4 gigs of pictures from my Canon dslr successfully, using the cck USB connector, and the USB cord supplier by canon. The power was supplied by my camera.

Cheers,
Mary Ellyn
