Yea those rely upon the Internet and a GPS to boost if they are like the Sprint one.

Unfortunately the solution is to grin and bear it with your current carrier or switch. They all have gaps in coverage. May I suggest a nexus and Google Fi? That's a tempting solution and uses both CDMA & GSM
