Granted, it was on my iPhone, not my iPad mini, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
I have never had iOS crash ever unless I jailbroke my iPhone. Today my iOS crashed three times the third time resulting in it telling me that there was no battery left and I had to plug it in I plugged it into iTunes because it had 39% left and all is seemingly okay now. I'm fully updated current iOS. Just swiping to unlock caused it to crash last time and time before was selecting an app in the app switcher. I've just never had it happen when I didn't cause it with a jailbreak tweak. (I don't think I ever jail broke my iPhone 5 and certainly never my current 6s) I was shocked really. I've had apps crash. Yea. Okay. That happens. It's been so many years since I've had iOS or Mac OS X crash. Such good times we live in. But yea anyway. Those crashes happened. ;-)
