I agree. You can only do so much with a teeny lens. Perhaps a quality "slide the phone in" lens could make for a very capable " not a dslr but a really versatile camera"?

But it is a BROAD statement Jim so broad as to be fairly meaningless. We can all agree at least we like the high security that Apple holds themselves too. But I have seen features and API that have no security risks (well in true scientific/hacker terms very tiny) being vetoed as if they are for security reasons by experts and the beginners and intermediate types then become afraid of that feature for no reason.

We all agree Apple security is way better than Android or Windows or Linux and iOS is more secure than the Mac.

A lot of the features Apple users ask for, and I and others have mentioned on the list, are in fact not an opening for Malware..

And while I think Apple has a great history of very few successful Malware attacks in the wild - the fact is they can copy many features of Windows and Android and the Mac and not open themselves to security risks.

My problem is with folks who dump on a company because some feature isn't the way they want it, or doesn't work perfectly first time out of the box, and frequently cite the competition as a Good Example, even though some of the "good" things about the competition are what has left them wide open to malware.
