Re: [iPad] Why Is Almost No One Using Apple Pay? - Forbes

True.

My take on the thread topic is that not many iPhone users have an Apple Pay compatible phone. Its new, so people are resistant to change. Its not used in many outlets yet.

It will be like cash and cards. In NZ hardly anyone uses cash. I had a $5 more in my wallet the other day, rare. Ive not written a cheque for 10 years, and I got sent one a few months back, I went to the bank and there are no queues to deposit it, I had to ask. Was taken to a 42" TV, scanned the cheque, put my EFTPOS card in to bring up my accounts, chose one, done..

In time to come, cards will go. Mobile phone pay will be ubiquitous. My wallet has little purpose except to carry my ATM and credit card and  drivers licence

Absolutely not. The are the last err most recent player to the game well actually Samsung just got into it but regardless apple has not even close to a monopoly on near field communications transactions.
