I wonder if a writer for the Washington Post in 1930 would have written a similar article about the first cars. Maybe the article would go something like this"I don't see many people driving cars because we still use horse drawn carriages quite effectively. None of my neighbors, friends or families own one of these. What makes this situation even worse is that these new inventions scare my horse every time we get close to one. The hype of these gasoline driven vehicles is ridiculous. It won't be long until they fade into non-existence."Terry Sandbek
