I'm using Mozilla's Thunderbird mail client. If, sometimes, before starting to tack a reply onto the end of a message, I start deleting yahoo boilerplate character by character from the end of the message I'm replying to, at some point the screen will suddenly be filled with the CSS/HTML stuff people have referred to. Wasn't there before, and suddenly it is. It's there all the time, evidently, just hidden. I wonder how they hide it.

It has since started appearing in other Groups.What follows is my post to another Group discussion about this "junk" appearing in their posts.My other observation on the "junk" is it appears to be the HTML formatting for the URL you provided for the article. Yahoo introduced the nice "feature" of making a preview window of what ever the URL target is. Since I use web-based email through Yahoo, I see it created when I paste a URL into a message I am composing. It is a nice addition for those recipients that fear URLs in emails. But I have noticed when I paste a URL into a message using IE or in OutLook (both are the only provided and allowed by my school district). it gets trashed and gets sent as this same "junk".
In another window, I just saw another member (JR) has also decoded the "junk" as HTML code. I agree with his more concise analysis and solution.>So unless other group users set their outgoing mail format to text only, and not HTML, we should be expecting it regularly.

It is not present if you read the posts on the Group website. What you see is the URL preview pane.
It is the direct coding from Yahoo's webmail interface page layout.
