Re: [iPad] Hows the Impressions of WWDC?

Is the ATV hobbling purely a lawyer thing, like Amazon's inability to offer to Americans French or British ebooks?

If your in the US the ATV works well, if your not it's a paperweight. The other 6.6 billion of us have TV and streaming hopes as well (well maybe not 6.6 billion of us, but you get what I mean)

Id like to see the Apple TV move on from being the American TV. The appstore would have done that very easily, as ATV is an iOS device, and no need to create a new app store use the iOS one, treating the ATV as just another iOS device.

I didnt think this WWDC  justifies a new iOS name or OSX name, they are really x.4 updates and fixes

Sounds as tho mgmt wanted to rush it out but was persuaded not to.  Maps was rushed out.  Could it be that the head office is inhabited by a pointy-haired boss?

If the next version of ATV is like the new version of everything else from Apple in recent years, it'll be just the previous model with better wiring and a new coat of varnish.  Which would be fine with me, since the current ATV works well, but Apple's accustomed secrecy leads the media to hope for much more, and the result is a letdown.
