I had cataract surgery 7 years ago and can assure you that you will be pleased. There is a particular diagnosis procedure to establish whether you qualify. Since surgery, my astigmatism has virtually vanished, my glasses have gone from thick to thin and I am close to 20-20 in both eyes. The amazing thing is color. Try this: after your first eye is done compare a white napkin - first with the fixed eye, then the other eye. You might not have known it because cataracts come on over lots of years but you have not been seeing colors very well.
