I think they guy was just filling space to ditch me. But he actually said that the iPhone had a design flaw and that my battery life was normal. I'm lucky if I can get 1.5 hours. My life involves much time in airplane mode and with a pocket full of battery chargers to keep my iPhone charged for a part of a day.

My iPhone 5s gave me all day use on a single charge during the year that I owned it. That daily use was pretty heavy since I stream a lot of music, keep my screen at a bright level, do some web surfing, read mail, use texting, play games, etc. I gave the unit to a friend & she has had no problem with battery life to this day.
