Re: [iPad] OT New Yahoo Group: Apple Watch

Thanks, that was helpful.  I didn't plan to go scuba diving with one.  But now that I think about it a smart watch could be very useful on a dive.  I was mostly concerned about rain, snow and hand washing.

1.  Is it water  proof and if so to what depth?

IPX7

Footnote at the bottom:
• *Apple Watch is splash and water resistant but not waterproof. You can, for example, wear and use Apple Watch during exercise, in the rain, and while washing your hands, but submerging Apple Watch is not recommended. Apple Watch has a water resistance rating of IPX7 under IEC standard 60529. The leather bands are not water resistant.

2.  is it shockproof?

It has almost no moving parts. I have seen no official statement about "shockproof".
