Tattoo ink includes metals. I forgot the details but that much I remember.

One (or more) of the articles I read stated clearly that dark-pigmented skin was not an issue at all, just the ink in tattoos. This shows how many things have to be considered when bringing a completely new product to the market! Who would have ever thought that a tattoo would be a problem for a watch!I would.Not for time-keeping, but for a sensor methodology that involves shining a light deep into the skin and monitoring the reflectance.A tattoo, with some opaque pigments, would be like sliding a piece of aluminum foil between the watch and the skin.
