Re: [iPad] Re: How do I get video on iPad to run? It is in a photo album with still pictures

If you didn't use iPad to take your movies perhaps you have to rip them to ITunes format. If I want one of my DVDs to be on my iPad I have to rip it so I can import it into iTunes. Then I can put it on my iPad.

Hmmm, on my IPad I take movies in the Camera. They show up in the photo album. It's the "icon" called Photographs. They play there. I email etc from that app too.
There is a Video app but it's for the iTunes stuff. TV shows and movies you have it iTunes format.
If you  import your movies into iTunes Movies on your computer. You can keep your movies there for long term storage.

Hi, I am just using the Photos app that came with the iPad.  The Camera Roll is an album within that app.  There is a Videos album in the app that one of my videos synced to.  The rest of my photos are in a separate album.

I went to one of the Apple support groups and asked the same question.  Somebody there said all the file names have to be exactly 8 characters long so I changed the file names of the videos (the ones with the MOV extension) and now none of them got transferred the next time I synced.

I am not aware that I have a video player on this iPad.  Can you recommend one?

Thanks.
