It is my understanding that if they show up on the iPad then they *are* in the correct and playable format. Does the iPad require than you view them from the dedicated video player perhaps?

1. What format *are* they in?
2. How did you move them?
I think importing them into iTunes can convert them to iPad-compatible format.
