Re: [iPad] nytimes article on tim cook

I bought my first "Personal Digital Assistant" around 1996, an HP 200LX. It ran PC software on an 80186 chip, had a CGA-resolution gray-scale screen, lacked any wireless capability, and cost around $600. Unsubsidized.

I was delighted with it.

I subsequently bought another, then moved to a Handspring Visor, then a Sony Clié. The Sony was eventually replaced by an iPhone 3. It was so much better than any of its predecessors that it almost seemed underpriced.
