The whole Beats phenomenon is depressing -- it's just a bunch of sound
devices, none of which I've heard that have been all that impressive.

If a rap star hadn't gotten involved, it would be just another
low-priced bunch of audio listnening devices. But put a famous name
with it and suddenly it's like pure gold and people (including Apple)
can't wait to overpay for mediocre quality.

I've used Beats earbuds and they don't sound any better than the Apple
earbuds that the company had already designed. My current HP laptop has
Beats audio and it doesn't sound any better than the audio system that
was in my previous HP laptop.
