2013 iPhone5) and thinking what an amazing invention it is, that I can
do so much with a device that is so small and has such great battery life.
I certainly don't consider it clunky and primitive.
Which isn't to say that you shouldn't feel that way -- I'm just trying
to offer an "opposing point of view" by means of showing how difficult
it is for any tech company to try to keep the marketplace satisfied. I
certainly don't want a smaller device -- my fingers are just barely the
right size to do what I need to do now, and I certainly don't want a
larger device because then it wouldn't be convenient to carry around.
But obviously my point of view isn't the only one or even the
predominant one, thus all the discussion about what new devices should
be offered and how dissatisfied people are with current offerings. :-)
