There is no right size for an iPad pr iPhone. A mini iPad was cut down, but it did work. A larger iPhone was cut down, but it will work in a few months.

The customers know what they want, not Apple.

Customers, in large part, regularly and predictably show they can't think beyond today and mostly have no idea what they really want.

Nobody knew they wanted an iPhone until Apple built it.
The world pooh-poohed the idea of a "big iPhone" tablet until they got their hands on an iPad.

Enthusiast as I am, I wasn't sure I had a need for an iPad for several months. And here I am with my feet up in my recliner, typing this on my 2nd iPad.
