Some parts are good others not so much. Enjoying the immersion in another culture. Enjoying the time away. Bummed because it seems like I misjudged how badly the NGO's around here wanted volunteers as in they don't necessarily just want warm bodies for grunt work. So that's not exactly what I was expecting. And the other volunteer spots either want hundreds of US dollars (some per week! To volunteer!!) or are very age discriminatory lol they're not into old farts like myself. My finances never figured out as in I still have only barely got half and my house back in the states didn't sell. That said. I think we are bailing from Guatemala next week. We've been here for two months. I fractured my knee getting off a public bus so that kinda hampered my hiking volcanoes goals. But none of that means that it hadn't been a trip if a lifetime. And I still may get my job (which is double rent and since eating at home is about a $2-3 dollar a day expense the job pays tons of loot). So it's been an experience. We may be going to the Leon area of Nicaragua next but the discussion still rages lol. So two thumbs up despite some set backs. :-D

Kris, how is the trip going, looks a blast, well done.
