Re: [iPad] I fixed iPad Maps program, almost by myself

Way cool and thanks. And fwiw it seems like that is one heck of a convoluted solution :-/

Review of problem. iPad Maps showed now way to remove pins or Bookmarks. I called Apple help phone # 800-275-2273 iPod apple help.

They're pretty good but even the senior tech was stumped. We bumbled around looking down one dead end after another. The conventional wisdom said that you select a pin and click on the little 'i' on the banner that pops up. Only the list had no way to remove the pin.

When I clicked on Bookmarks I saw the list of pins etc. It occurred to me that the list is the solution. I clicked 'Edit' and the same list showed up with red circles ahead of each item. Clicking the circle revealed a red 'delete' banner. Of course I clicked one and the bookmark indicator disappeared. I did the same for the other with the same result. I clicked 'done' and the real bookmarks were gone. I didn't see how to remove the 'current location' bookmark. That is meant to change if your iPad is in a new location. And it may be part of 'find my iPad'.

I'm feeling quite proud of myself. If feels a lot better than the frustration I was feeling over the inability to get rid of those pins. :-)
