No, snarky and rude would've said something about your website. I have a problem when someone takes a simple sentence and rewords it to fit their means. As it is, I like how Carl's comment has now turned into a computer that would run both OS X and iOS.

I didn't say anything about the idea not being profitable, I only said that maybe Apple didn't like the additional hardware costs. I leave the dreaming up costs of a special assembly line for these screens to Apple. And we're talking about suppliers needed for the biggest touchscreens they would've put on any device.

Lower profit margins on products has caused Apple stock price to drop, which just causes you to create more threads about Apple's downfall. (e.g., the thread we're in right now)

BTW Apple has not sold anything at a loss yet. If they plan such a product it would be with a healthy profit margin. And if touch screens killed a profit margin phones would not be feasible at their under $700 price point. Nor would under $1,000 Touch Screen convertibles which there are many. But don't let facts about how much % a touch screen adds to price of regular screen affect your ideas. Keep saying no profitable touch screen is feasible and if someone says it can call them a 'business expert' with a 'answer for everything' and wonder why people think you are just another snarky rude internet list participant. Even though to people with any manners it is obvious such remarks are rude :D

It would be all profit. They just add the touch costs + margin and add the margin for mods to OSX to run iOS apps natively or thorugh thin or thick VM. Make em expensive at first and if people like it MFRing costs come down.
