I actually thought Jackson overdid it. He was pulling from the simirillian. I just wanted I see the hobbit. I didn't need an hour of stuff leading up to the first page. That. And my attention span doesn't last three hours. I guess I read LOTR more than the hobbit. Well I know I did. About a dozen times on LOTR and only read the hobbit thrice. Maybe that had something to do with it.

Rob and I drove 1-1/2 hrs to see The Hobbit in 48FPS in 3D with Dolby Atmos sound, the way the director wanted it to be seen. Boy was it a good movie. I'm not a fan of Lord of the Rings but loved The Hobbit book, so wanted to see the movie. A couple times during the movie I found myself looking around the theater to find out who was rustling paper, only to discover it was rain hitting a tin roof from speakers above and behind me. Amazing sound. The 3D was very good too. I'm looking forward to seeing the next two in the trilogy.
