It's relevant because his computer can connect to his home network.

What security are you using on your home wireless network? None? WEP? WPA/WPA2?
TedSent from my iPad 3The hotspot is active as I was able to connect my iPad with any problem. It is trying to connect my Windows XP laptop that I am having difficulty. It finds my hotspot in the wireless list, but when I connect, it acquires network address but it doesn't show "connected", it shows automatic and it won't load any page. When I check wireless connection on my laptop it is shown as not connected. But if I switch to my home wireless network, it connects without a problem. There must be a setting or configuration that needs to be changed or modified. Any ideas?
