This is now a zombie problem not a werewolf problem. We tried the werewolf problem approach of looking for a silver bullet but that proved elusive so we're needing to tackle it like a zombie problem as in the shot gun approach.
I'n other words I'd try it all.

He has no issues with connecting to his home network, that just proves his laptop is fine. Changing or removing his wifi router security settings wont help his problem as he is connecting, or trying to, to his phone

It's relevant because his computer can connect to his home network.
TedSent from my iPad 3I dont think that is relevant as he is trying to connect to the iPhone? I.e. using the iPhonne and not his home wifi

What security are you using on your home wireless network? None? WEP? WPA/WPA2?
TedSent from my iPad 3The hotspot is active as I was able to connect my iPad with any problem. It is trying to connect my Windows XP laptop that I am having difficulty. It finds my hotspot in the wireless list, but when I connect, it acquires network address but it doesn't show "connected", it shows automatic and it won't load any page. When I check wireless connection on my laptop it is shown as not connected. But if I switch to my home wireless network, it connects without a problem. There must be a setting or configuration that needs to be changed or modified. Any ideas?
