What meant is if I import to iPad from a camera while on holiday (to avoid taking a laptop), how do I get those photos from the iPad to my computer, so that I can have them for myself, and not stuck on the iPad? As a travelling laptop replacement, it seems I have no control over my photos
I mentioned non DRM to emphasise that my photos are DRM free (naturally), yet I cannot get them off my iPad, which is ridiculous

That's odd. I am able to import photos to my iPad and then later sync them to my computer.
And no photos that I am aware of employ DRM. Saying non-drm photos is like saying non-dry water.

I am not allowed to import my own non DRM photos from my own camera to my iPad while away, and transfer them to my computer upon my return.. I cannot understand that as Camera Roll has
