My Bouviers can jump in and out of the pool and swim for half an hour and their skin is still dry. The coat is very wet, but it doesn't seem to get through the undercoat and down to the skin. Bathing with shampoo gets the, wet to the skin. We use coat conditioners after a bath but not after a swim. probably should rinse with clear water, though, to get the chlorine out.
