Re: [iPad] Re: Handwritten Note Taking for Lefties

I am  leftie too and I have never turned my hand like that or rotated my paper, I can't imagine how left handed people can write like that! Maybe I am a different generation but no one ever tried to make me switch.

As a leftie, I don't turn my wrist either.  I used to turn my paper, but with time I don't even do that any more.  Fact of the matter I hardly write anymore, much preferring typing.  I think that has been the best thing to happen to my horribly left inclined self.

I can remember in school, being hit on the wrist whenever I used my left hand.  The nuns thought it an abomination.  It took my mom to come to school and threaten a refund of that years tuition for them to face facts that I was just going to be a leftie in a right handed world.

I am a Leftie but I do not write in the crabbed hand style so the
wrist guard as described would be awkward for me. Lefties who grew up
in old fashioned schools where the paper was turned counterclockwise
to suit Righties were obliged to write crab-handed so to keep the
hands off the written material (in the days of wet-ink pens). Some
kids, to the consternation of the teachers turned their paper
clockwise so to write straight-handed. I did this and maybe that is
why the teacher flunked me for 1B first time around. (In my day we had
two semesters in a school year B for Sept to Jan and A for Feb to June).
