The OP did point out that young kids will be using this. The newer 'version 2 Zaggmate does have an option for a back protector, but the one(s) I have used do not actually protect front AND back. I returned mine as I was just too nervous with the bare back. MY luck, I'd drop it and it would land squarely on the unprotected back of my iPad.
