You can have PP link to a bank account, and if there is enough money in
the account it will take it from there first, and then if not it will
charge a credit card. I use a separate bank account which is not linked
to any other accounts, so if PayPal gets hacked and someone tries to
empty that account they won't get very much money and my other accounts
won't be touched. I find it's easier to control my on-line spending if I
can do it with PayPal and make myself have the money in the bank account
first.
