Hi,
I've always recharged my iPad (first version) through an outlet, not through my computer. My daughter was leaving the country with her iPod and asked if she could take the outlet cord with her and she'd leave me the computer cord she used to recharge her iPod. I didn't see a problem with it -- we'd recharged her iPod using my outlet cord before, and I assumed the opposite would be true. But when I plugged my iPad into this computer, the upper right battery icon said "Not charging." Are these cords truly not interchangeable? Is she traveling outside the country unable to recharge her iPod? Am I destined not to use my iPad until she returns with my cord?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Carolyn
