Homeowners and Renters insurance almost always covers theft. The deductible would apply. There are computer endorsements that are "all risk" I believe our deductible for this endorsement is $250. Our regular Homeowners is $500. It is best to insure for big events and have your deductible be the amount that you could afford to lose. I guess it is sort of a balancing act.
