I am a Leftie but I do not write in the crabbed hand style so the
wrist guard as described would be awkward for me. Lefties who grew up
in old fashioned schools where the paper was turned counterclockwise
to suit Righties were obliged to write crab-handed so to keep the
hands off the written material (in the days of wet-ink pens). Some
kids, to the consternation of the teachers turned their paper
clockwise so to write straight-handed. I did this and maybe that is
why the teacher flunked me for 1B first time around. (In my day we had
two semesters in a school year B for Sept to Jan and A for Feb to June).
