A kernel panic from booting from a cd. Yikes. That's not good. I suspect ram. Can you yank out a chip and try again?

I am trying to get my white MB ready to sell. It will not let me format and reinstall either Leopard or Snow Leopard.

I put the CD in and hold down the C key. It starts reading the CD and after 3 mins, I get a multi language screen telling me to hold the power key down until it turns off ... and then turn it back on.

It keeps cycling through this over and over.

Any suggestions, please?
