The only pics I have on my iPad are the ones I might have actually downloaded from a camera. I have a link on my home screen to Pbase and Flickr like Isabel does and I just call that up. I see no reason to fill up the IPad with pics unless of course you do not have pics on a storage site.
Even pano images (more than one image merged together) display nicely on the iPad.

the screen.

I actually like viewing my images more on the iPad than on my 26" monitor. I
think I see greater detail and dynamic range.
No need really to load pics into the iPad because I can easily access my online
albums and loading time is very speedy.
