What application are you using for email?
Try this: Look for "Accounts" on the left. If you have more than one email account you may have to click on the left facing arrow at top left for a particular email account - then look down for accounts and click on the name of that account. That will bring up all the folders (labels as in the case of gmail) in the account. Then you can click on the folder you want to open.
