I don't know if many of you are familiar with this app, but after testing it for one night so far I think it's really wonderful. This
app leads the user to a site where movies and a few television shows can be watched. The downside is that there are commercials. On the movie
that I watched last night, there seemed to be a 30 minute spot around
every ten minutes. And another drag is if you put the film on hold or
turn it off for any length of time, the player will resume where you last
left off, but you have to watch the same commercial over again.
It's still worth checking out. It is all free and the movie selection
is not huge but I did find plenty of films that would keep me occupied
for the next few weeks, if not months.
And best news of all, the site is now available outside the U.S. too.

Re: [iPad] Crackle App
I just discovered it today. I haven't watched it yet. I've had the Hulu Plus trial for nearly a week now. I like it, but don't think I will subscribe yet. I discovered a program called "The Event" which should be on the ABC Player, but I haven't checked yet. At the beginning of the trial, I could not resume play after interruptions but now I can.
I think that with Netflix, the ABC Player and Crackle, I should have enough steaming content to fill the void when my wife wants me to stay with her in the room while she is watching the Lifetime network or the kids are watch Avatar for the millionth time on the big screen.
I find that the iPad is the only device I watch 100% of watch I want to watch. On the two TVs that get used, I maybe watch 10% of what I want.
Other steaming apps that I have enjoyed are the Golf Channel app and the MLB.com At Bat 11 app that allows viewing of all non-Blacked out games for free until the end of the month of April.
