Because a locked phone is tied to a certain carrier. For me. I do not want the carrier to subsidize my phone. I want to buy my phone, and be able to use it wherever I choose.

kris, the iphone 6s will be my first iphone...i need advice...talk about why it's a bad idea to buy a locked phone.
