No, not true.
There is a perfectly good point in having different devices for different purposes.
It is easier to do video editing on a machine with a large screen, and perhaps a second screen, although it *can* be done on a 13" laptop.
It is easier to do 3D modeling on a machine with multiple CPU's, but it probably *can* be done on a dual-core machine.
It is completely reasonable that there are things that are much easier to do on a Mac than on an iPad.
