In iMessages, do a tap hold on the keyboard with 2 fingers. You'll see the letters and numbers disappear. You can now move the cursor back and forth and highlight like you do on the Apple trackpad. Here's an iMore article about it: http://www.imore.com/trackpad-mode-ios-9-and-iphone and an AppleInsider article http://appleinsider.com/articles/15/06/11/first-look-ios-9s-new-cursor-controlling-gesture-keyboard-on-ipad

I really like it. My problem with it is getting back the keyboard after using the trackpad feature without having to reboot Messages. Anyone else have this problem? I know it's a beta, so it could be a bug.
