The web page programmers. They sniff out that you are using mobile safari and place an ad that may be relevant to you and your surfing habits. Which in this case is an iOS app which displays the content of the current web page. Nifty certainly. Useful probably. Annoying (in my case) certainly.

Cheers.

This happens too often but not always.

While beginning to read a newspaper article on my iPad from various newspapers I will be directed to an app in the App Store.  It is usually not the same app.  This has been happening for at least six months to a year.  My wife has the same problem on her iPad. We do not have this problem on our iPhones or Macs.

My wife and I have different user accounts.  The only thing we share is the home networks.  We both have iPad mini but this also happened on our previous iPads.

Sometimes I can start over and read the article and other times I keep getting redirected to the App Store. I don't recall any of the apps being anything that interest me.

Does anyone else have this problem and can anyone shed some light on it?

This has been occurring with the various iOS versions that we have had including 8.1.3

Thanks,

Bobby
