Thanks, please see my previous reply. Making the intended article unreadable to the user helps no one. I have stopped visiting the web sights of a few papers because of this activity. Of course, even if one can not read the article the web site still chalks up a visit or multiple visits if one tries several times to read the article.

Some advertising sales people, web people and even buyers only care about the sites general statistics rather than if someone actually stayed long enough to read an article and digest an ad or two.

While beginning to read a newspaper article on my iPad from various newspapers I will be directed to an app in the App Store. It is usually not the same app. This has been happening for at least six months to a year. My wife has the same problem on her iPad. We do not have this problem on our iPhones or Macs.

My wife and I have different user accounts. The only thing we share is the home networks. We both have iPad mini but this also happened on our previous iPads.

Sometimes I can start over and read the article and other times I keep getting redirected to the App Store. I don't recall any of the apps being anything that interest me.

Does anyone else have this problem and can anyone shed some light on it?

This has been occurring with the various iOS versions that we have had including 8.1.3
