We currently use a Verizon Jetpack as out internet hotspot both at home and on the road with mediocre results for our MacBook and 2 iPhone 5's. The contract is about up and we would like to acquire an iPad Air 2 and I am wondering IF that would also perform well as our internet hotspot using AT&T? Has anybody out there replaced their jetpack/????? with an iPad as a hotspot & if so, does it work well or not? I really would like to replace the dedicated hotspot device with something that can multifunction. The main reason for dumping Verizon is the high cost of internet access & less than great performance coupled with the fact that our phones us AT&T service.
