I am not beta-testing it, but that seems to me to be a function of iOS 8 rather than the hardware of the iPhone 6.

I also like the idea of using the payment system by wavig my wristwatch over the sensor, rather than taking my iPhone out of my pocket, placing my thumb on the fingerprint sensor, and holding the iPhone up to the NFC sensor.
